LEBANON, Maine - A Lewiston man was arrested on Thursday in burglaries from Lebanon and Berwick storage facilities.

The felony arrests were made on Pioneer Avenue in Sanford on warrants from State and Berwick Police.

State Police out of Troop A had investigated two of the storage facility burglaries in Lebanon on May 2 and May 19. The resulting investigation developed probable cause to arrest Shain Johnson, 38.

Troopers later learned that the Berwick Police Department was also looking for Johnson for a storage facility burglary in their community.

According to a release by State Police, Johnson was on bail conditions from a previous arrest out of Androscoggin County Superior Court for additional burglaries.

State Police had trouble tracking down the suspect and asked for assistance from the community via social media. On June 4 a community member contacted a Trooper and told them he saw Johnson walking down Pioneer Avenue in Sanford.

Soon after the trooper observed Johnson try to hide behind a truck on this street. When the trooper approached the suspect he surrendered without incident.

Johnson was found in possession of crystal meth and suboxone. He was taken to York County Jail where bail was set on the warrants at $11,000 with no bail was allowed on the drug charge and bail violation.

Also charged was Shawna Burch, 20, of Lewiston, for Violation of Conditions of Release. Burch had bail conditions not to be with Johnson. She was summonsed and released.

A third subject, David Mullen, 44, of Auburn, was arrested for meth possession, violations of condition of release, and on a probation violation. He was transported to York County Jail where he was held on no bail.

The State Police would like to thank the numerous community residents that provided information that ultimately led to the arrests.
