ROCHESTER - Anne M. "Annie" (Dupuis) Pine, of Rochester, and Riverside Rest Home in Dover, died on April 23, 2022 at the age of 74, after a long courageous battle with multiple sclerosis. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Born on April 3, 1948 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Brown) Dupuis. Anne grew up on Butler Street in South Berwick, Maine. She graduated from the Academy of St. Joseph.

After high school, Anne attended cosmetology school to become a hairdresser. She worked at La Casa Bella Hair Salon in Somersworth, and Sheer Excitement in Dover. Anne always greeted people with a smile, and she enjoyed taking the time to get to know her clients as she was cutting their hair.

Anne met the love of her life, Ronald, while at La Cantina, a dance club in Dover. The two married on July 4, 1970. They enjoyed spending time doing the simple things in life, like listening to music, going to the beach or to the mountains, and sharing a good meal. They had two sons, Rick and Dave. As the boys were growing up, Anne and Ron attended their sporting events and were their biggest fans. Anne always volunteered to help at Scouts meetings, work at the snack shack or chaperone field trips.

Anne always got a kick out of a good joke; she was quick to laugh. Anyone who knew her knew that she had a heart of gold. She was a kind soul, who always put the needs of others first, especially her family's needs. Anne was a deeply devoted Catholic; she was a longtime communicant of St. Mary Parish in Rochester. She volunteered her time to help out the parish.

Members of her family include her husband of 51 years, Ronald Pine, of Rochester; two sons, Richard and wife Ericka Pine of Strafford, and David and wife Jessica Pine, of Eliot, Maine; two grandchildren, Zachary Pine of Los Angeles, Calif., and Kelsey Pine of Strafford; a great-granddaughter, Madison Currier, of Strafford. She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Elizabeth Dupuis and her sister Veronica Dupuis of South Berwick, Maine.
