ROCHESTER - Allen Glidden,79 of Rochester, died Thursday September 24, 2020 at the Frisbie Memorial Hospital after a long battle with cancer.

Born November 24, 1940 in Wolfeboro, he is the son of Fred and Evelyn (Thibault) Glidden.

Allen has lived in Rochester all his life. He joined and serve in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed by Rouleau Construction as a finish carpenter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, camping, hiking and pretty much anything outdoors, he loved spending time with his family taking the grandkids to storyland and Santa's village. He loved going to country and bluegrass music concerts. He loved puttering around the yard and garage and he enjoyed helping people work on their projects.

Members of his family include his wife, Ida (LeClair) Glidden of Rochester, his daughters; Deborah Carpenter and her late husband Chris of Farmington, Kathy Post of Farmington and Laurie Graham-Saad and her husband Steven of Rochester, a brother, Fred Glidden of Rochester and a sister, Bertha Trask of Rochester, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
