Allan James 'Jim' Philips ... at 77

DOVER - Allan James "Jim" Philips, 77 of Dover died on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2022, at his home following a period of failing health.

He was born on March 28, 1944, in Pittsburgh, Pa., the son of John and Pauline (Dolance) Philips. Allan honorably and proudly served in the Air Force. He was known for his outgoing personality and his ability to hold long, informative conversations. He enthusiastically shared his views on many subjects and encouraged others to do the same. His mannerisms were inspirational to his friends and family; he was well-liked and highly regarded.

Members of his family include four children Allen Philips of Pittsburgh, Scott Philips and his wife Maribel of Oceanside, Calif., Diana Mitchell of Dover and Serena Philips of Roanoke, Va.; 3 grandchildren Joshua, Alyssa and Anabel Philips; his former wife Alicia Philips of Dover; his brother John Philips of Pittsburgh; his sister Julie Davis of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews.
