AG's Office investigating fatal officer-involved shooting in Northwood

NORTHWOOD - The Attorney General's Office is investigating a fatal officer-involved shooting involving an adult male in Northwood.

The shooting occurred at a residence along Route 4.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. An autopsy will be scheduled by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in the coming days, according to safety officials.

Police responded to the area following a disturbance call. One law enforcement officer was injured in the incident.

Pursuant to protocol, the name of the officer involved in the incident is being withheld pending the conclusion of a formal interview.
