LEBANON, Maine - An Acton man died on Saturday when his vehicle collided head-on with another car on Route 202 in Lebanon.
The accident occurred around 7 p.m. when a 2016 Dodge Charger operated by Joshua Griffin, 34, of Sanford was traveling east on Route 202 when he lost control and went into the oncoming lane striking a 2003 Honda Civic driven by Henry Berthiaume, 32, of Acton, who died from injuries sustained in the crash, according to a statement sent from the York County Sheriff's Office on Sunday.
The crash occurred in the vicinity of Carl Broggi Highway and Creamery Hill Road in Lebanon.
Griffin and one of the passengers in his vehicle were injured with non-life-threatening injuries and transported to a local hospital. Their condition is unknown. A second passenger was treated and released at the scene.
The crash caused Route 202 to be shut down for several hours.
An investigation into the cause of the crash continues.
