3 hurt in Cross Road rollover; city man charged with DUI in Milton Road crash

ROCHESTER - Rochester Police, Fire and Frisbie Ambulances responded to two serious crashes within four hours on Wednesday including one that involved a DUI arrest.
The first of the pair of serious accidents occurred around 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of Cross and Betts roads, leaving at least one man injured.
Rochester Police today said that when the call came in they were told that one vehicle had rolled over and someone was thought to be entrapped.
"Emergency personnel arrived on scene and Rochester Fire began to extricate the driver of the rolled over vehicle," Rochester Police Capt. Todd Pinkham told The Voice.
Following an on-scene investigation police learned that a Subaru Crosstrek, driven by Langdon Hall, 26, of Rochester, was traveling west on Betts Rd, toward Chestnut Hill Road, was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection and then began to proceed through when it struck a Toyota Camry, driven by Joyce Higgins, 88, of Farmington, that was traveling north on Cross Road.
The Camry then began to turn over and struck a southbound Honda Accord. The Camry completely flipped over and came to rest on its roof. All vehicles sustained extensive damage and all occupants were transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital to be evaluated for minor injuries.
The male driver of the Honda told The Rochester Voice he was driving on Cross Road headed toward Milton Road when he heard a crash and then felt the impact of another vehicle that had rolled over.
He said police told him a female driving on Betts Road toward Chestnut Hill Road slid across Betts Road striking his car.
"It happened so fast I barely knew what happened," he said.
The other crash occurred near the Cumberland Farms at 79 Milton Road a little before 8 p.m., when a vehicle swerved off the road and went into the lawn area of a residence.
The vehicle sustained some significant damage, but no injuries resulted from the accident.
The driver, David Dymond, 35, of Rochester, was arrested for DUI.
