2017 death of Nashua infant was from blunt trauma to head: autopsy

CONCORD - The Attorney Generals Office announced today that an investigation has been launched into the 2017 death of a Nashua infant.
The press release, which is scant on details, notes that on Feb. 16, 2017, Luna L. Champagne was taken from her parents' home at 79 Elm St., Apartment #2, in Nashua to a local hospital while in medical distress. She was later transported to a hospital in Massachusetts where she died three days later.
The Massachusetts Office of the Chief Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy on Luna Champagne on Feb 23, 2017, but the complete autopsy report wasn't received till 2021. That report revealed that the infant's
cause of death was traumatic head injuries, and her manner of death was homicide.
The exact circumstances surrounding Luna Champagne's death remain under investigation.
