ROCHESTER - A Columbus Avenue accident sent four area residents, including two toddlers, to the hospital Saturday night after a Jeep apparently rear-ended a bus full of passengers on Columbus Avenue.

The crash occurred around 9:15 p.m. in the area of the Stop and Go Deli and involved a 2011 Jeep Liberty and a school bus registered out of Massachusetts.

An investigation revealed that the Jeep, operated by Victoria Kerivan, 25, of 58 Northwood Road, Strafford, was traveling south on Columbus Avenue behind the bus, operated by Jean Dieudonne, 36, of Everett, Mass, when Kerivan's vehicle struck the bus.

Kerivan, along with an adult passenger and two toddlers, were transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.

There were 32 adult passengers on the bus, all of whom escaped without injury.

The Jeep Liberty was towed from the scene.

Kerivan was issued a summons for following too closely.
