A 12-hour rain event that features gusty winds and threatens local flooding begins tonight around 7 p.m.
A flood watch for interior York County in Maine and the Northern Seacoast will be in effect from 6 a.m. till 3 p.m. on Sunday.
Local impacts include excessive runoff that may result in the flooding of rivers, creeks and streams and other low-lying locations.
Flash flooding could occur with any high-rainfall rates.
Temperatures throughout the weekend should remain relatively mild, with highs in the 40s and lows in the 30s.
Sunny skies return on Tuesday through Thursday with more rain and temps around 60 on Friday.
