ROCHESTER - Lucia A O'Leary, wife of late State Police Colonel Paul F. O'Leary, (Ret) passed away peacefully at her home on March 25, 2024.

Born on July 7, 1930, in Wolfeboro, daughter of Alfred and Regina Jutras. Lucia resided there with her 7 siblings until she married the love of her life on June 25, 1949. They later resided in Rochester where they raised their family.

She was a graduate of Brewster Academy class of 1949.

Lucia was a proud State Police wife, a great mother, loving grandmother and good friend. Through her years she took on many roles as a homemaker in the family home, an artist, seamstress, the best cook, a gardener- who had a green thumb like no other. She was once an avid member of the Rochester Garden Club.

Lucia had a passion for life, she loved her home, her gardens and her surroundings, watching football and was QVC's greatest customer. But above all, she cherished her family, her adopted Irish heritage and her Catholic faith.

She was predeceased by her son, Daniel J O'Leary, (2007) Daughter, Mary K Coltin, (2017).

Members of her family include her son, Kevin O'Leary. Daughters, Colleen A Hammond, Patricia L O'Leary, son in law Michael A Coltin, daughter in law Pamela O'Leary.

Grandchildren, Katherine, Karianne, Maribeth, Erin, Bryan, Jana, Jake and Kaili. Great Grandchildren, Logan, Gavin, Finnegan, Ashlyn, Sadie and Grace.

Sisters, Claire Nash, Beatrice Lavery and "Joey" Thurston

And her very special friend, Jane Edgerly Stowell who she treasured.
