ROCHESTER - Police say an argument between a man and a woman inside a North Street apartment got physical on Wednesday, leaving her with a cut ear and landing him behind bars on high bail.

The incident unfolded around 6:30 p.m. when police received a 911 call from a neighbor of the victim who said she heard her screams for help.

"Oh God help me someone call 911 help," dispatch notes reveal.

When police arrived they found the female bleeding from the ear, Rochester Police Capt. Todd Pinkham said today. He said the the two are known to each other and had been arguing before it turned physical after she asked him to leave.

"He pushed her, grabbed her, and scratched her during the assault and also tried to break her phone," Pinkham said.

After an investigation, Police arrested Tyler Forest, 21, of Chestnut Street, on Thursday on charges of criminal trespass, obstructing report of a crime or injury, three counts of simple assault and attempted criminal mischief.

Forest was being held at Strafford County Jail on $2,500 bail pending a video arraignment later today at Rochester District Court.
