Woman nabbed for DWI, child endangerment gets drug charge tacked on

ROCHESTER - A Strafford woman arrested last February for driving under the influence with children in the car had two drug charges added on Monday.

Marissa Woodman, 33, had fentanyl and meth possession counts both added after police received confirmation from an out-of-state lab that test results showed they were illegal drugs.

The incident unfolded on Feb. 23 around 6:50 p.m. when police received a call regarding a motor vehicle complaint on a white Subaru in the area of Rochester Hill and Haven Hill roads. The person calling in asked police to check the welfare of a screaming child that was in the back seat of the car.

While checking Rochester Hill Road, an officer noticed a vehicle matching the description parked, but running, at the Hi Vu Motor Inn.

When they approached the running vehicle, they noticed two small children unattended in the vehicle. One child was not properly restrained and the other did not have the proper restraints available.

After waiting for a period of time the driver, Woodman arrived at the vehicle after exiting one of the rooms.

After speaking with Woodman, the officer determined that Woodman was impaired. She was arrested on two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, aggravated DUI (.08/.02%; Passngr Under 16 ) , two child restraint offenses, uninspected vehicle and unattended vehicle.
