ROCHESTER - One motorist was injured in a two-car crash at the busy intersection of Columbus Avenue and Lowell Street on Saturday night.

Police say the collision occurred when Katelyn McCutcheon, 20 of Gilford, N.H., was traveling southbound on Columbus Avenue in a 2007 Toyota Camry and made a left turn to get onto Lowell Street when she struck a car being driven by Brendon Page, 19 of Kingston, which was traveling northbound on Columbus.

As a result of the collision, his Hyundai Tiburon went off of the roadway and came to rest at the corner of Hancock Street and Columbus Avenue. A 23-year-old passenger in his car sustained an unspecified injury and was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital Emergency Department for treatment.

All parties were wearing their seat belts.

McCutcheon was issued a summons at the scene for failure of traffic turning left to yield.
