Windham audit team releases findings; final report from state will take a while

CONCORD - State officials announced today that they received the Forensic Election Audit Team's report on Monday, but won't be revealing its contents or any recommendations for the future until they have had time to review the finding and prepare their own final report.

The report of the forensic audit was expected to weigh in on the accuracy of the State recount of the Rockingham District 7 State Representative race as upheld by the unanimous vote of the New Hampshire Ballot Law Commission.

Officials reviewing the report will not have an official response on the Forensic Election Audit Team's report until after the offices' joint report is submitted to the Legislature and the Town of Windham Board of Selectmen.

The Ballot Law Commission has also received a copy of the Forensic Election Audit Team's report. Pursuant to Senate Bill 43, the Ballot Law Commission's report is due at the same time as the Secretary of State-Attorney General's report.
