Wanted sex offender nabbed at Rochester restaurant

ROCHESTER - A fugitive and convicted sex offender who had been sought by U.S. Marshals was arrested by Rochester Police on Sunday.

Keith Pare, 44, was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Dover Police for failing to maintain his sex offender registration.

Recently, Dover Police put out a press release seeking information on the location of Pare. This additional media coverage reinvigorated the investigation which led to Pare's arrest this past weekend.

On Sunday, an anonymous tipster contacted the Rochester Police Department and stated that Pare was currently at a local restaurant on North Main Street.

Officers from the Rochester Police Department responded to this restaurant, where Mr. Pare was arrested without incident.

He was transported to the Strafford County Jail for holding pending his initial court appearance on Monday.

Pare is a registered Tier II sexual offender in the State of New Hampshire following a conviction for felonious sexual assault out of Strafford County Superior Court in 1996. As a result of his convictions, Pare is required to register as a sexual offender semi-annually.
