Two women made two towns very happy

Last Sunday it was Rebekah Thompson's turn to wake up refreshed and free of worry after organizing a successful inaugural Lebanon Festival the day before.

Today it is Stefanie Berry's turn. She organized the 2nd Annual Milton Pride Day, which went off without missing a beat on Saturday.

Now we know both ladies are frowning right now because they would want everyone to know there were a lot more people than them who made our two towns' back-to-back weekend festivals the successes they were.

So, yes, we are congratulating everyone who worked together as a team to give the people of our two towns something to enjoy as a community.

Still, we know by looking at these two women's faces during their respective events last Saturday and yesterday that the day of the event can be very stressful because you've worked for months to make it the success you want it to be.

And we know the worry and attention to detail can be draining on the men and women who spearhead efforts such as these. They are a tremendous undertaking.

Sure you have help, you have a team, but you also know in the final analysis, it's on you.

So thank you, Rebekah Thompson and Stefanie Berry.

You did it, and Lebanon and Milton are the richer for it!
