Two injured, one cited in Farmington Road collision

ROCHESTER - Two men were injured and one was cited for not stopping at a stop light after a two-car crash today in Rochester.

The collision occurred around 6:20 a.m. when Rochester Police say David Parent, 70, of Farmington, was traveling east on Farmington Road in a 1999 Ford Ranger and turning left onto Little Falls Bridge Road when he struck Matthew Wolfert, 27, of Rochester, who was traveling west on Farmington Road in a 2007 Ford Focus.

The two vehicles collided in the westbound lane of Route 11 with Parent summonsed for Disobeying a Traffic Control Device, a violation.

Both were transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with what were described as nonlife-threatening injuries.

Neither driver was wearing seat belts.
