Trio of men walking on RR tracks force freight train to slow down; one arrested

ROCHESTER - A trio of men walking along railroad tracks in Rochester's downtown forced the slowdown of a northbound New Hampshire Northcoast freight train on Thursday leading to the arrest of a Rochester man.
Officer's responded to a welfare check on the railroad tracks between Winter Street and Franklin streets around 7:55 a.m. after it was reported three males that appeared to be on drugs were walking on the tracks, and the train needed to slow down to avoid them.
Once on scene officers located the three males, one of whom was Kenneth Clark, who was wanted on a EBW out of Rochester District Court for willful concealment and a Capias out of Strafford County Superior Court for drug possesion.
As a result, Clark was taken into custody.

All three were warned that about trespassing on Railroad property and the dangers associated with being on the tracks, Rochester Police Capt. Todd Pinkham said today.

Clark was transported to Strafford County Jail where he will be arraigned today at 12:30 p.m.
