Town's budget panel race shapes up as family affair

LEBANON - A field of five residents will vie for four spots on the town’s Budget Committee in upcoming elections on June 10.

Among those throwing their hat into the ring are incumbent Rebecca Batchelder, who is now completing her first three-year term in office.

Others looking for their first budget panel stint are Jeri Basko, who just finished a year as alternate; Gilbert Gerrish, a former town fire chief who has worked for the highway department; Karen Gerrish, who is Gilbert Gerrish’s wife and not the town’s Selectmen chair; and Tom Torno, who works for the highway department and is the son of Road Commission Larry Torno.
