ROCHESTER - If you still haven't gotten your 2021 Rochester dog license there's still time to pay and avoid a $30 fine.

The City Council voted to send the dog license warrant over the Rochester Police for enforcement on Tuesday, but the clerk's office said today you can still avoid the fine by paying the license fee July 16. Online payments are also accepted.

The $30 fine comprises $25 for the actual fine and $5 for an administrative fee that reflects the cost of a certified letter sent all dog owners.

The clerk's office said the animal control officers has been working diligently to contact all those that could be affected by phone, and that another reminder post card is going out today.
