Summer Kickoff starts with hydroplanes on the pond

MILTON - The 3rd Annual South Shore Outboard Association’s Milton Three Ponds Challenge highlights Milton’s annual Summer Kickoff at Town Beach on Saturday.

Some of these nifty little hydroplanes ply the waters of Milton Three Ponds at up to 80 mph, so you don’t want to miss this.

There will also be an antique boat show as well as a car show on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On Saturday kids will be treated to a magic show at 11 a.m. and face painting from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Boat racing begins at noon both Saturday and Sunday.

There will be no swimming or boat launching this weekend.

Admission is a food or money donation to the Milton Food Pantry.

Town safety equipment will also be available for close-up inspection and tours.

Many vendors, including food vendors, will be on hand.
