Street closures, parking restrictions for Apple Harvest Day

DOVER - Dover will have multiple street closures and parking restrictions during the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce's 39th annual Apple Harvest Day festival set for Saturday. On Saturday from 6 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., the following streets will be closed to all traffic:
Southbound traffic on Central Avenue will be diverted through the Third Street Lot to Chestnut Street. Motorists should expect delays in the downtown area. Parking and free shuttle service Off-site parking with free shuttle service will be provided between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the following parking lots:

Additional road closures for Apple Harvest 5K Road Race There are additional road closures for Apple Harvest 5K Road Race, which begins at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7. The Apple Harvest 5K course starts and finishes on Saint Thomas Street in front of the Dover District Court. Post-race activities will occur on the adjacent McConnell Center front lawn. The following roads will be closed for the race:
The closure of Silver Street is expected to be brief to allow race participants to cross Silver Street early in the course. Traffic delays should be expected, however. Additional delays may occur on Bellamy Road near Cataract Avenue, where traffic is restricted to a single, alternating lane while runners are present. The course utilizes a portion of the Dover Community Trail between Fisher and Folsom Streets. Parking restrictions On-street parking will be prohibited during the overnight of Friday and all day on Saturday at the following locations:
