GONIC - Steven R. Huston died of natural causes on the Monday, March 14, 2016. Steve was the son of Alma and Robert Huston of Weston, Massachusetts. He is survived by his two sons, Keith and Steven Jr., of Nova Scotia, Canada, and sister, Bonnie Varney, of Old Orchard Beach, Maine. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Robert (Robbie) and Theodore, (Teddy) of Massachusetts.
True to the ideals of the '60s, Steve always had just what he needed and never asked for more. He lived simply on his land in Strafford without the need for electricity or running water. Yet, he was mentally awake with the current events of the world and was outgoing in his expression of his point of view and vast knowledge. A mechanic at heart, he could coax any form of machine or electrical device back to life and he did so to the amazement of those he helped. A kind soul, Steve touched everyone he met in a way that cannot be forgotten. May he rest well.
