ROCHESTER - Rochester Rec & Arena has scheduled two Halloween events geared toward children and families.
On Thursday there will be a Halloween Movie Night at the Rochester Common. The movie will be the 1975 sci-fi classic "Escape to Witch Mountain," a tale of telepathic twins, rated G. The event begins at 6 p.m., with the movie starting at 6:30 and running until about 8. Attendees are encouraged to bring blanket and chairs, and their costumes. The Rochester Common is located at 139 South Main St., with parking available at the Common and in the Care Pharmacy parking lot on Sawyer Ave.
Then on Friday "Littles Halloween" will be held from 9-11 a.m. in the Rochester Arena parking lot at 45 Lowell St. This event is designed for children age 5 and younger and will feature games, crafts, a play area and Halloween music. Kids are encouraged to dress up in costumes or pajamas.
