Rockingham County continues at COVID hot spot; only four new hospitalizations

CONCORD - Hillsborough County continues as the state's COVID-19 hot spot with more than half of the state's 77 new cases announced on Sunday, a day that also saw four new cases among those under 17.

Second on the list was Rockingham County with 24 and Strafford County a distant third at just four.

Only four of the new cases required hospitalization, continuing a welcome trend that shows further flattening of the curve.

The cumulative number of confirmed COVID cases in New Hampshire stands at 1,864.

The number of those being treated at hospitals rose by six to 101.

Meanwhile in Maine, the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases rose to 1,015 with 532 recovered, a cumulative total of 159 hospitalizations and 50 deaths.

Current numbers of those admitted to hospitals stands at 39 with 19 in critical care and seven on a ventilator.

York County numbers show 196 cumulative cases, and seven deaths, while Cumberland County has seen 24 residents succumb to the disease and midcoast Waldo County has seen 11 deaths.
