ROCHESTER - The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce its annual Holiday Parade, with this year's theme, "Holiday Parade of Lights."
The parade will take place on Dec. 8, starting at 4 p.m.
This beloved community event will feature a vibrant mix of floats, high school marching bands, mobile and equestrian units, and many other participants.
Those entering floats are invited to decorate their entries in line with the parade's theme. Floats arriving in the assembly area by 2 p.m. on day of parade will be judged on creativity, craftsmanship, theme interpretation, and overall appearance. Plaques will be awarded for "Best of Parade," "Second Place," and "Third Place."
The parade will follow a route beginning on Wakefield Street, near the triangle at the entrance to Spaulding High School. From there, it will proceed south on Wakefield Street, turn right onto Union Street, left onto North Main Street, and continue to South Main Street, where it will disband in front of the Rochester Common.
Each year, thousands of participants and spectators come together to enjoy this festive event. Many also view the parade via video replay throughout the holiday season, making it a cherished tradition in Rochester. Whether you're marching, riding on a float, or cheering from the sidelines, all are welcome to join in the holiday spirit.
Entries for the parade will be accepted until Nov. 30. For more information, please contact the Chamber office at 603-332-5080. Entry forms and guidelines are available online at www.rochesternh.org/parade.
