Rochester woman hospitalized, cited in two-car crash

Two motorists were injured on Monday in a two-car collision at the intersection of Brock and Washington streets.

The accident occurred around 4:15 p.m. when police say Crystal Rossi, 28, of Rochester, was driving a Chrysler Sebring on Washington Street as Robert Turner, 49, of Rochester, was operating a Ford F150 on Brock Street.

Both vehicles entered the intersection and collided in the middle, police say.

As a result of the collision Rossi and her passenger, Gregory Sicari, 47, of Rochester, were transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with what were described as nonlife threatening injuries.

Rossi was also issued a citation for failure to obey traffic control devices.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene as well. While emergency personnel worked the crash the roadway remained open, with traffic diverted around the scene.
