ROCHESTER - A Rochester woman was arrested for stealing a car from the Knight Street Cumberland Farms on Friday, police said.

The car was stolen around 5:50 a.m. With temperatures in the single digits, the owner of the car had left it running while going in to make a purchase.

She called police after coming out of the convenience store to find her white Kia Soul had vanished.

Several officers began combing city streets and a BOLO (be on the lookout for) was issued to State Police.

Soon after a Good Samaritan spotted the Kia heading toward town on Eastern Avenue and called the location in to police, who caught up with it on Signal Street.

Angela Davis, 36, of 55 Summer St., Rochester, was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property and driving after revocation/suspension.

Davis was released on personal recognizance pending her arraignment.
