Rochester Voice named finalist in six categories in this year's NHPA Distinguished Journalism contest

The Rochester Voice has been named a finalist for six awards in this year's New Hampshire Press Association's Distinguished Journalism Contest, including for General Excellence in the Digital Presence category.

Other Rochester Voice entries submitted as finalists include for spot news, crime/court reporting and health reporting.

The Rochester Voice was also named finalist in two photography categories: spot news and feature.

"We are extremely proud and humbled to have been named as finalists given the level of talent New Hampshire's journalists possess and the dedication with which we all serve," said Rochester Voice President Martha T. Soto Galicia.

Due to concerns over COVID-19, the annual awards banquet normally held in May was canceled. Instead, the award winners will be announced during a Facebook Live watch party next month.
