Rochester man dies in head-on crash in Alton

Authorities say a Rochester man died in a head-on collision Sunday night in Alton.

Donald Smith, 26, of Rochester, died after a two-vehicle accident on Route 11 near Heron Point Road.

Details remain sketchy, but it is known that three others were injured in the crash, which happened a little after 9 p.m.

The accident remains under investigation.
