Rochester man arrested for DUI after car crashes into lamp post

ROCHESTER - A city man was arrested for DUI on Thursday after the vehicle he was driving slammed into a lamp post near Tri-City Towing on Wakefield Street. The crash occurred around 9:30 p.m., according to a Rochester Police arrest log released on Saturday. Peter Diprizio, 55, of Snow Street, was arrested following a field sobriety test administered on scene, according to dispatch notes. A DUI charge is a Class B misdemeanor. Diprizio was released on personal recognizance pending his arraignment in Rochester District Court.
