Rochester Main Street launches new giving program to support downtown

ROCHESTER - Rochester Main Street today announced the launch of a new Contributing Partner Program.

As a nonprofit organization, Rochester Main Street has long been dedicated to the revitalization and sustainability of the downtown district.

"We believe a thriving downtown is the heart and soul of a strong community," said Richard Southard, president of Rochester Main Street. "The Contributing Partner Program ensures that anyone passionate about Rochester's future can play a vital role in our ongoing success."

Supporters can choose from various partnership levels -- Independent, Advocate, Legacy, Cornerstone, and Bedrock -- starting at $25 annually.

All donations are tax-deductible and directly support projects such as downtown beautification, business development initiatives, and promotional events that enhance the vibrancy of the city center.

Today's announcement comes fast on the heels of a huge financial boost for Rochester Main Street after the Lilac Club Casino awarded them $58,000 as part of their first donation to area nonprofits.

The donations mark the beginning of Lilac Club Casino's ongoing commitment to supporting local nonprofits.
