ROCHESTER - Robert "Bob" Brown of Rochester died on May 14, 2022. Born Jan. 1, 1944, to Lilian and Joseph Brown, Robert grew up in Tewksbury, Mass., the youngest of three, behind brother Joseph Brown of Wisconsin and sister Margery (Brown) Bowers of South Carolina.
A bit later in life Bob would father and raise two more children, twins Eric and Tanya (Trask). He would occasionally joke and blame the double set of twins on the hiccups! Bob was exceptionally proud of how very successful all five of his children have been. Bob himself worked for many years in sales for the restaurant and food industry, eventually starting his on salad and deli business. He also worked for Tyco in Newington, where he was awarded employee of the year before finally slowing down and taking a front office position for a Somersworth based self-storage facility. Bob was a regular around downtown Rochester and a long-standing patron of the Club Victoire where he was recognized as member of the year in 2004. He also enjoyed the company and patronage of the Rochester Elks Lodge. He and his best four-legged friend, Buddy (his teacup toy poodle) were often spotted all over Rochester bringing smiles and laughs to anyone who crossed their path. In 2008 Bob moved to Seasons Lane in Rochester where he was known as the unofficial mayor of the neighborhood. He took great pride in his little community and adored his neighbors. He often hosted "town hall" meetings in his yard and was usually found sitting on his porch chatting with every person who passed by.
