ROCHESTER - Rochester Police are warning residents about a scam going on now in which callers purport to be from the IRS and that those called face imminent arrest if they don't make a payment over the phone immediately.

The IRS, however, will never contact you demanding payment over the phone.

Police urge residents to never give any of these callers any personal information.
