Police seek car involved in pedestrian hit-and-run that injured teen

ROCHESTER - Police are on the lookout for a blue Toyota Corolla or similar vehicle today after a teenager walking along Little Falls Bridge Road was struck on Saturday night.

When officers arrived they found a 16 year-old male lying on the side of the road. He was conscious and alert, and reported he was walking near the pavement edge on the shoulder toward Farmington Road when a vehicle came from the direction of Farmington Road and struck him.

He said the car continued on and described it as being a blue Toyota Corolla type of vehicle, possibly operated by a female.

Little Falls Bridge Road is a major artery that connects Chestnut Hill Road and Farmington Road near the Ridge Marketplace.

The teen was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with what were described as nonlife threatening injuries. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact Ofc. Hunter Roy of the Rochester Police Department at 330-7128.
