Police continue probe in Thursday hit-and-run that injured man

ROCHESTER - Rochester Police continue to hunt for leads in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident that occurred on Thursday evening.

The injured man, who has not been identified, is thought to have been treated and released from the Frisbie Emergency Department, Rochester Police said today, adding in a statement that the injuries did not appear to be serious.
The accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on South Main Street near the intersection of Franklin Street where police were dispatched for a report of a hit-and-run.
Police say the vehicle that struck the man was said to be a van operated by a heavy-set female.
Police believe there may be a number of witnesses as other vehicles were reportedly stopped in the area at the time of the incident.

Because there was injury police say it is a felony offense.
