Officials release ID of teen killed during armed Limerick confrontation with police

AUGUSTA, Maine - The Office of the Attorney General has confirmed the identity of the individual killed in an armed confrontation with law enforcement in Limerick Friday night as Christopher Camacho, 16, of Limerick.

Camacho was shot and killed Friday evening at the Dollar General store in Limerick York County Deputy Sheriff Robert Carr, officials said.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined yesterday that Camacho died of a single gunshot wound.

As is standard in officer involved uses of deadly force, the Office of the Attorney General is investigating the homicide.
