The Lebanon Voice circulates among 13,000 unique visitors in Rochester, Milton and Lebanon every month, and gets an average of 1,200 visitors every day of the week. When the Foster’s Daily Democrat says their paper is viewed by 50,000 people a day, it’s based on archaic news surveys done  by newspaper industry groups that surmise each paper is read by between three to four people. The fact is they’re lucky if 10,000 people buy their paper daily.

The fact is, you rarely see a person buying the paper. As far as the Rochester Times, nearly a thousand of them were seen in the Rochester Market Basket vestibule on a recent Sunday, three days after its weekly publication was placed on news racks.

Obituaries are free in The Lebanon Voice, and the charge is just $20 for the death notice, which included wake and funeral arrangements. In the Foster’s it’s about $120 for three days. In the Voice, they run for a week to 10 days and are then archived for family viewing for years. If you would like your loved one’s obit placed in The Lebanon Voice, simply tell the funeral home.
