Obit: Betty M. Tanguay ... retired from GE

GONIC - Betty M. Tanguay, 93, died Friday, January 31, 2014, after a brief illness.

Betty was born in Drummonville, Canada on October 23, 1920, the daughter of Adelard and Eva (Berthiaume) Laurion and lived most of her life in Gonic, moving from Canada. She was a communicant of St. Leo's Church in Gonic and before retirement she worked at General Electric in Somersworth, NH. She was a member of the Emblem Club in Rochester and enjoyed bingo, playing cards, going to Foxwoods and was an avid Red Sox fan, but most of all her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. She was the widow of Raymond Tanguay who died in 1968, and was also predeceased by a daughter, June Ramsey, by an infant son, Ronald, six sisters and three brothers.

She leaves behind a son Roland Joseph Tanguay and his wife Joan of Maine, one daughter, Claire Guilbaultand her husband Ray of Somersworth, a son-in-law, Larry Ramsey of New Durham, one brother, Henry Laurion of Gonic, one sister, Irene Bombay of Rochester and Boynton Beach, Fla., two sisters-in-law, Irene Laurion and Connie Laurion, both of Rochester, six grandchildren, Ann Marie Pinault and her husband Brian of Rochester, Raymond Tanguay of Maine, Donald Tanguay and his wife Leslie of East Rochester, Kelly Pollini and her husband John of Wolfeboro, Kristy Guilbault and Tricia Guilbault, both of Somersworth, four great-grandchildren, Megen and Christopher Pollini of Wolfeboro, and Chad and Jaiden Tanguay of East Rochester. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and a very special friend Priscilla Kendal of Rochester.
