CONCORD - A Nashua man accused of killing his grandmother in November died on Monday.

A statement Tuesday from the AG's office said Jacob Abraham, 28, of 22 Auburn St., Nashua, New Hampshire died in a Concord hospital after suffering a medical event earlier this month while in custody that led to the hospitalization. Abraham was transferred to hospice care last week and passed away shortly before noon on Monday, officials say.

The Attorney General's Office was prosecuting Mr. Abraham for second-degree murder for recklessly causing the death of his grandmother, Cynthia Toupin, 71, on or about Nov. 4 in Nashua.

Due to Abraham's death, the state will enter an order of nolle prosequi as to the pending charge.
