ROCHESTER - A Milton teenager was injured on Friday when the car she was driving collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Milton and Flat Rock Bridge roads.

Police said a preliminary investigation showed that around 8 p.m. a 1997 Oldsmobile Bravada driven by William Lemelin, 39, of Rochester was traveling north on Milton Road when his vehicle was struck by a westbound vehicle traveling from Flat Rock Bridge Road onto Milton Road.

The westbound vehicle was a 1999 Nissan Altima, driven by Caitlyn Hassen, 16, of Milton. Hassen was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital for evaluation of what appeared to be nonlife-threatening injuries.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene due to extensive damage.  Milton Road was reduced to a single lane for about one hour during the investigation.

Hassen was warned for failing to yield.
