DOVER, N.H. - A Milton man will serve up to a year in jail after pleading guilty to felony burglary and misdemeanor assault on Friday at Strafford County Superior Court.

Alex Blaisdell, 38, of 145 Pineland Park, was remanded immediately to the Strafford County House of Correction after sentencing in connection with the case, in which he broke into a town residence, and assaulted three female victims by pulling their hair and shoving them.

Two counts of criminal threatening and witness tampering were not prosecuted.

For the felony burglary guilty plea Blaisdell was given a two-to-five year prison sentence, all suspended for three years, which begins upon his release from jail.

Blaisdell will be eligible to be released from his 12-month jail term on a monitoring device after his completion of a therapeutic community program, according to court documents.

Blaisdell carried out the attack at a Pineland Park residence on June 17.

He was indicted on the burglary and assault charges last month by a Strafford County grand jury.

Prosecutor Amy Feliciano did not return a Friday phone call for her comment on the sentencing.
