Middleton officer's DWI trial pushed back

Middleton Patrolman Sean Dolliver ... remains on paid administrative leave

ROCHESTER - A veteran Middleton, N.H., police officer charged with drunken driving after a crash in Milton in April had his trial date pushed back a month due to a possible confrlict of interest concern with the presiding judge.

Judge Susan W. Ashley normally presides at the Rochester District Court where the trial would be heard, but whether her name was on court documents pertinent to the case could not be immediately verified.

Sean Dolliver, a patrolman and 16-year veteran with the force, remains on paid administrative leave pending an outcome at trial.

Dolliver was involved in a rollover crash in the area of 323 Governors Road around 11 p.m. on April 28.

Police say Dolliver's vehicle took out a fence post and rolled over in a ditch.

Dolliver, who was alone in the car and uninjured in the crash, is facing his first DWI offense.

His trial in Rochester District Court is now set for July 30 at 8 a.m.
