May forums will focus on filling state's manufacturing jobs

ROCHESTER - New Hampshire Manufacturing Extension Partnership President Zenagui Brahim will join the City of Rochester, the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce, local manufacturers, and state officials for a discussion about the workforce challenges facing the state's manufacturing firms during two city forums next month.

The events will take place May 16 from 4-6 p.m. at Granite Steak and Grill in Rochester and May 25 from 8-10 a.m. at Frisbie Memorial Hospital Conference Center in Rochester.
The series - called "Building the Pipeline" - will feature Rochester Mayor Paul Callaghan opening the discussion floor for manufacturers to speak about key issues faced by the staffing shortage. Following the manufacturers' comments, Brahim will introduce a panel of state officials from New Hampshire Employment Security, NH Health & Human Services, and NH Business and Economic Affairs who will offer solutions and resources for the workforce shortage.
