CONCORD, N.H. - Fugitive from justice Joshua Ray Fields was arrested this morning by the U.S. Marshals New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force.The task force had developed information that Fields, 31, was at a relative’s residence in Nottingham, N.H., where he was arrested without incident.
This past weekend, the State Police and the Candia Police Department requested the assistance of the fugitive task force in locating Fields, who was being sought on two arrest warrants, including one for a burglary in Candia, N.H., that involved the theft of several firearms.The second warrant was issued by State Police for the offense of unsworn falsification in relation to the ongoing investigation into the Candia burglary.
Fields is alleged to have been a part of a group of people who were involved in the crime. Fields was considered to be Armed and Dangerous prior to his arrest. Fields is also currently on parole for the offenses of unlawful criminal restraint and assault by a prisoner.
Based on these alleged new offenses, a parole violation is pending.Also during the investigation, two other co-defendants in the case were arrested in Manchester, N.H., including Ashley Angelone, 26, and Scott Plante, 28, of Notre Dame Avenue, Manchester. Both were wanted in connection with the Candia burglary.
These arrests were made by members of the task force, including: Rockingham, Hillsborough, Belknap and Strafford County Deputy Sheriffs, deputy U.S. Marshals along with Nottignham and Candia Police Department. U.S. Marshal David Cargill Jr. said he was pleased with an uneventful arrest, adding, “We are happy that Fields was taken into custody without incident.”
