Man's body found near oyster farm in Durham

DURHAM - The body of a man was found on Monday near an oyster farm on the Piscataqua River in Durham.

Safety officials say that Durham Police and Fire received a 911 call around 3:30 p.m. from a local oyster farmer who discovered the body on the banks of the river in the area of the Cedar Point Road boat ramp. The oyster farmer administered CPR until the arrival of EMS, who continued medical aid to no avail.

An investigation is ongoing by the Durham Police Department, New Hampshire Fish and Game and the New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol. Identification of the male victim is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
