Man's body found downtown; no foul play suspected

ROCHESTER - A middle-aged man’s body was found on Wakefield Street in the area of the former Church of the Redemption and Profile Mortgage on Wednesday morning, but police say no foul play is suspected and are classifying the death as “untimely.”

The body was found around 7:30 a.m. by a passer-by.

The man was 35 years old, according to Rochester Police Capt. Gary Boudreau.

The body was found in the area of 57 Wakefield St., Boudreau added.

Since no criminal aspect of the case has been found, the man’s identity was withheld.
