ROCHESTER - A Rochester man who was convicted of shoplifting last year and given a 30-day suspended sentence as long as he stayed on good behavior for two years racked up three more shoplifting arrests in the past two weeks and is now being held with no bail at the Strafford County House of Corrections.
Dominic Beraldi, 20 of 2 Abbott St., in East Rochester, was arraigned on Tuesday in Rochester District Court and charged with three Class A misdemeanors in connection with two shoplifting incidents and a contempt charge for allegedly shoplifting while out on bail.
He also faces a felony robbery charge for an incident at Kmart on April 11 in which he allegedly shoved a store manager to the ground after being caught in another alleged shoplifting.
The other two willful concealment charges stem from incidents on Saturday at the Rochester Walgreens and a second incident at Kmart on April 16.
All three Class A misdemeanors are punishable by up to a year in county jail, so Beraldi will be provided with a public defender prior to any misdemeanor trials or any probable cause hearing on the felony charge.
