Lobster Dip Returns to OOB on January 1 to Benefit Special Olympics Maine

OLD ORCHARD BEACH, Maine -- On Thursday, January 1, hundreds of participants will ring in the New Year by running into the Atlantic Ocean in front of The Brunswick during the 2026 Lobster Dip, a benefit for Special Olympics Maine.
Now in its 38th year, the Lobster Dip is Special Olympics Maine's largest one-day fund=raiser. Proceeds support year-round sports training, athletic competition, health, and leadership programs for more than 5,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities across Maine.

The Brunswickis located at 39 W Grand Avenue, Old Orchard Beach
Registration and check-in are at 9 a.m. with dip waves scheduled at 10:30 a.m. and noon.
